Information Regarding Domain Transfers
Information You Will Need from Your Current Provider
Before transferring your domain to 369Hosting, make sure you have the following:
- Your domain name
- The EPP/Auth code for the domain
- Current nameservers (optional but helpful if you are not changing web hosts)

Transferring Your Domain to 369Hosting
To transfer your domain, follow these steps:
- If you have a 369Hosting account, log in. If you’re new, you’ll need to create an account as part of the transfer process.
- Go to Domains > Transfer Domains to Us from the main menu.
- Enter your domain name and EPP/Auth code, then click Add to Cart.
- You will be directed to the Domains configuration page where you can:
- Add a Web Hosting or Email Hosting package.
- Add ID protection to keep your contact information private on WHOIS searches.
- Configure the nameservers that will be used once the domain is transferred. The default 369Hosting nameservers will be shown, but you can specify your own. (If using 369Hosting nameservers, ensure you have a DNS zone set up with us before the transfer to prevent downtime.)
- Complete the checkout process to initiate the domain transfer. We will notify you when the transfer is complete. This can take a few minutes for .co.ke domains or 5-7 days for other domains.
Transfer Costs and Renewals
Transferring a domain to 369Hosting is free. However, renewal is required in the following cases:
- International domain transfers
- .co.ke domains with less than 10 days until expiry
Your renewal will be added to the end of your domain's current expiry date.
